The Deep South Dressage and Combined Training Association was formed in 1971 to promote participation in the equine disciplines of Dressage and Combined Training. The
DSDCTA became a Charter Group Member of the
USDF when that organization was founded in 1974.
The original DSDCTA had no chapters. Today the organization is made up of multiple regional chapters:
- Emerald Coast (DSDCTA-EC)
- Northwest Florida (DSDCTA-NF)
- Florabama (DSDCTA-FB)
- First Coast (DSDCTA-FC)
- Suwannee Valley (DSDCTA-SV)
- Horse Country (DSDCTA-HC)
DSDCTA offers educational opportunities in the forms of scholarships, clinics, recognized shows, and schooling shows
for its members. DSDCTA recognizes rider achievements through a Year End Awards Program.
